We all want beautiful, shiny, healthy hair, but we can’t expect to bask in the glory of it if we aren’t treating it right. Getting that glossy hair that falls just right around your face can be easy if you follow these tips for what you should do and shouldn’t do to your tresses.

DON’T wash your hair every day
Washing your hair on a daily basis can dry it out which puts you in danger of more breakage and more frequent trips to the salon due to split ends. Shampooing daily washes out the natural oils your hair follicles make that keep your hair shiny and silky.
DON’T style with heat every day
Skip blow dryers and flat irons a few times a week. It’s a myth that hair can handle the heat we apply to it. Most hair can burn at 410F and some hair appliances get that hot. Give your hair a break and let it air dry completely a few times a week or just use appliances for a touch up.
DO use a wide tooth comb on wet hair
Since wet hair is more easily stretched and snapped, use a wide tooth comb to get out those tangles instead of a brush which is harsher on the wet follicles. Be sure to be gentle with your comb. It is less likely to break hair than a brush, but with enough force, it could do damage too.
DO know how you sleep
If you are a restless one who moves around a lot during the night, try using a satin pillowcase. These will allow the hair to move more freely and reduce breakage. Be sure to remove all clips and hair elastics when you put head to pillow, too.
DON’T overuse chemicals
Perms, colors, and chemical straighteners are just as damaging and burn your hair much the same as blow dryers and curling irons. Try to apply chemicals to your hair as little as possible. If you do have chemically-treated hair, use a deep conditioner to counteract the harmful affects of them.
DO eat foods your hair likes
Believe it or not, some kinds of foods can do wonders for your hair. Make sure you are getting appropriate doses of these:
Salmon – This fish is essential to the diet of anyone looking for shiny, strong hair as it contains Omega-3 fatty acids that support scalp health. Eating salmon on a regular basis will reduce your chances of a dry scalp .
Dark green vegetables – That’s right, moms, now you have a legitimate reason for why your kids must eat their vegetables…they are good for your hair! Dark greens like spinach, Swiss chard and broccoli help the body to produce sebum, which is a natural conditioner secreted by hair follicles.
Beans – Beans, beans, the magical…hair care treatment. Legumes provide the protein that your hair needs to stimulate hair growth and they are rich in zinc, biotin, and iron too. Eat a few cups of kidney or black beans every week and your hair might begin to grow like a beanstalk.
So take this advice and put yourself on the right road to healthier, shinier, stronger hair. Most importantly, listen to your hair! It will tell you when it needs some TLC. Static means you need to use more moisturizing product and skip the hair dryers for a week or so. If your hair snarls and breaks when you try to run a brush or comb through it, it’s time for a trim to get those split ends off. With these tips, you should see noticeable differences and be your way to beautiful tresses in no time.

If you are suffering from hair loss you are not alone. This is a common problem for many of us. Though this problem is mainly associated with aging, people belonging to any age group can experience hair loss. It can take place in any phase of life. If it has become a regular problem for you, it is time to take action to stop hair loss.
Before you treat hair loss you need to know what the reason behind hair loss is. There can be several causes, the most common cause being genetics. Stress and tension also cause this problem. Not having adequate sleep also result in hair loss. Deficiency in nutrients can be another reason behind baldness. People suffering from thyroid or any kind of hormonal imbalance may also experience hair loss. If your hair follies can not reach the blood supply hair loss is inevitable.
As soon as you experience hair loss you should find out suitable ways for hair restoration. Once you know the exact reason causing hair loss it will be easier for you to find the solution. One of the best ways to stop hair loss is to improve blood flow. Olive oil massage or saw palmetto massage can reinforce hair growth. Medicines like finasteride and minoxodil are also effective in fighting hair loss. Finasteride is taken orally while minoxodil is directly applied to the scalp. You can also opt for surgical ways like hair implant, but surgical ways are undoubtedly very expensive.
One of the popular ways of generating new hair is hair graft. It is a very effective hair restoration technique. It works very well and helps to grow new hair. In hair graft the hair follicles are inserted into the scalp of the client. The follicles are inserted making a small incision. You can not distinguish the follicles from natural hair once they grow up.
Neo Graft is known to be the safest procedure for hair regeneration. At first individual follicles are isolated. After that Neo Graft Micro technique is used to reinsert into the scalp. Select an experienced doctor to do the procedure and you will get desired result.

Unwanted hair growth and its removal is one of the most groan-inducing topics in personal grooming. It can be tedious, time-consuming, and even painful. Perhaps you’ve wished it would just go away all by itself and that you’d never have to deal with it again. Instead, hair just keeps getting longer and more demanding every day. Women may not need to remove hair daily, but they’re just as involved, if not more so, in hair removal as men. People want and expect hair growth in some areas of the body, and remove it from others. Most of us want hair on our scalps. We expect men to be rugged and have facial hair that they shave. Many of us find a scruffy morning face to be masculine and sexy. And yet, we usually feel differently about a woman with hairy underarms or hairy legs.
The Mystery of Hair
Even if we think that all the hair follicles in a certain area of the body have been destroyed by electrolysis or laser hair removal, new hair can still grow. Sometimes the new hair sprouts from hair follicles that were previously dormant. Hormone production plays a large role in where, how, and how much hair grows. While we often wish for it, we’ve yet to discover a method of permanently removing hair, in large part because we don’t completely understand it. Certain hair-removal treatments can aid in this, but can’t totally eradicate hair growth. For example, waxing diminishes the quantity and thickness of hairs, but even when you’ve been waxing consistently for more than 20 years, hair still grows anew and needs to be removed. Unless we come to a fuller scientific understanding of hair in the future, you’ll just have to accept the fact that you’ll regularly spend time removing it from your body. The good news is that there are various methods for doing so, and you should be able to find one that works best for you.
Shaving
The most common form of hair removal is shaving. Most men do it daily; women usually two or three times a week. Getting a good shave isn’t easy, but by using the right equipment, the right preparation, and the right techniques, you can get a close, smooth shave every time.
Men shave their faces; women shave their underarms, legs, and sometimes their bikini
line. But beyond the location, the differences end. The guidelines for shaving are the
same for men and for women.

Hair care is not just a topical matter, it is also a nutritional matter. For good hair, good diet are a must. Here are fourteen natual supplements that are necessary for normal hair health and growth:
1. Biotin (Vitamin H)
Natural doses of biotin (vitamin H or B7) are necessary for normal hair health and growth. Biotin may reverse premature graying of hair if it’is caused by biotin deficiency. Supplements of 400 mg can be bought as over-the-counter drugs, these should be taken one time a day.2. Silica
Silica strengthens hair and reduces the possibility of split ends. It is found in rice, oats, sunflower seeds and potatoes. If you prefer capsules, take 300mg daily.
3. Nettle Root
Nettle root inhibits 5-alpha reductase, which is a key component in turning testosterone into DHT, the substance that causes the atrophy of hair follicles. You can buy capsulated nettle root as treatment but topical treatment is also available. You should take 250 mg/daily.
4. Saw palmetto
The saw palmetto’s berries contain fatty acids, sterols and active ingredients that inhibit DHT uptake by follicles, and block binding of DHT to androgen receptors. This reduces the effects of pattern balding.
5. Amino acid and proteins
Hair follicles need proteins and amino acids to grow, especially the amino acid cysteine, which ensures that hair fiber production proceeds smoothly. Cysteine contains sulfur molecules, which cross link with one another in the keratin protein chain to produce disulfide bonds. These bonds give hair its strength. You should eat; meat, poultry, fish, eggs, milk, cheese, yogurt, plants, legumes, grains, nuts, seeds, and vegetables. These foods contain all the amino acids that you need.
